Is your original footrest impossible to position comfortably? Then the EVO footrest kit from SW-MOTECH is the perfect solution for you. This sophisticated system, consisting of rotating elements with firmly interlocking teeth, gives you 36 options for positioning. The position of the footrest can be adjusted so that it's lower or moved forwards or backwards as well as adjusted in terms of its angle to suit your individual needs. The bike-specific joint adapters are simply mounted on to the original parts of the footrest holder. We'll show you how this works in the mounting instructions.

EVO Footrest kit in lieu of Flawed BMW OEM Foot Pegs

My 2021 BMW S1000XR OEM foot pegs which sell for $114.87 each are topped by a foot peg rubber that is basically a hollow tube; after 11,000 miles, this tube ripped away as I stood up and felt the rubber and my foot move forward off the metal part of the peg. In wet conditions, I went to mount my bike and the rubber boot slid forward enough that my foot slid off the peg; my shin hit the peg and my knee hit the bikes frame. If this had happened while I was in moving, I might have seriously injured something. Because this is a designed-in safety problem, I did not want OEM replacements and instead bought and installed this SW Motech EVO Footrest Kit. These pegs are Wonderful, notice the capitalization. You can use them in any one of four X,Y positions where the first digit is front to back and the second digit is up and down: 0,0 is the same as OEM; 0,-15mm is 15mm lower than OEM; -7.5mm, -7.5mm is 7.5mm further to the rear and 7.5mm lower than OEM; +7.5mm, -7.5mm is 7.5 mm further forward and 7.5mm lower than OEM. I use them in the -7.5mm, -7.5mm where they give me a little more room than the 0,0 OEM position. Shifting and braking are both easier for me in this position. You can also separately adjust the tilt of the foot peg; I have mine tilted forward by one increment where they seem to match the natural angle of my foot. The rubber insert is removable via a single nut on the bottom if you want a metal enduro style footrest either instead or just temporarily. During a 150 mile test ride yesterday, I found the rubber to be Much, again notice the capitalization, better than the OEM pegs; the rubber isolates my feet completely from the engine vibrations that I felt with the OEM pegs. I highly recommend the SW-Motech Evo Footrest Kit.

Original peg rubber broke after 15k miles. These replacement pegs feels stronger and have a much better footprint. I never leave reviews but this product is awesome
